Dr. Peter Hammermann

Dr. Hammermann started his career at Robert Bosch GmbH and BHF Bank. In 1995, he was a founding partner of a German mid-sized private equity firm. In 1998, he founded the German business of Barclays Private Equity, now Equistone Partners, a leading European small/mid-cap private equity firm. He was then Head of the German business, Member of the Management Board Europe and Chairman of the Supervisory Board Europe for a period of 20 years.

Jens Bender

Jens Bender completed an apprenticeship as a banker at HypoVereinsbank AG, followed by a degree in business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. He started in 2001 in the corporate finance department at Bankhaus Metzler. He was deputy head of the mid-cap M&A team at Commerzbank AG before founding cf:M with Jörg Leussink in 2012.

After successfully completing his business administration studies (Diplom-Kaufmann) at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Jörg Leussink started working at Bankhaus Metzler in 2000. He was Senior Director of the Mid-Cap M&A team at Commerzbank AG before founding cf:M with Jens Bender in 2012.

cf:M

Jens Bender and Jörg Leussink founded the independent corporate finance advisory firm cf:M GmbH, which focuses on medium-sized companies, in 2012 after having successfully worked for more than ten years at Bankhaus Metzler and Commerzbank in the field of medium-sized M&A advisory. cf:M focuses on M&A transaction consultancy in the small- and mid-cap segment.

Investment business

In order to complement cf:M’s product range and further professionalize the investment business with family offices, HBL InvestmentPartners GmbH was founded in 2018 as a medium-sized German investment company together with Dr. Peter Hammermann, one of the pioneers of the investment business in German-speaking countries over the past 20 years.

In July 2018, the first joint transaction was completed with the acquisition of TCT Technikcentrum Thale GmbH. Since then, three more companies have been acquired.
